Another Chapter...

Another chapter opened in the Hinckley home, so I decided to start anew with the whole blogging thing. I've decided since we have children, it is a good idea to document our lives. Children make life more interesting, and therefore they make more meaningful documentation. I've also come to the realization that a blog post doesn't have to be some profound statement or novel. I know most people are just reading my blog for the cute pictures of my babies. Now that the pressure is off, here we go!
I  did not settle on the name Heaven Sent Hinckleys, because I think Lon and I are providential. Rather, it is our miracle babies that are heaven sent. I liked the Cambridge online dictionary's definition, "If someone or something is heaven-sent, they arrive or happen, usually unexpectedly, at the time when they are most useful."  The birth of our twins was surely unexpected, but at the same time was such a huge blessing in so many ways. Lon and I feel so blessed to have our twins healthy and home with us. We thank our Heavenly Father, modern technology, caring nurses, and loving, faithful prayers from friends and family. These twins are truly little miracles.
In a few days, our twins will be six months old. However, they are fitting into 3 mos sizes. Their adjusted age is around 14 weeks. It's hard to believe how time flies by! Someday I will dedicate a post to my birth story, or what I can remember of it. I know some people could care less about my birth story, but I found that after having children, I am very interested in hearing others' birthing experiences. Maybe I'm just weird/gross.
Our children were blessed on Easter Sunday. We were glad to have the grandparents join us. Christine and Stan drove 12 hrs and my mom and dad drove 18 hrs without stopping overnight. Talk about having the drive to do something! We loved having visitors, not to mention extra hands to hold the babies! It was like a vacation for me! Here are some pictures from the blessing day.
Our little family on the Easter Sunday, also their blessing day.
